Dr. Petel holds a B.Med.Sc. in Medical Science and a D.M.D in Dental Medicine from Tel Aviv University with specialization in Pediatric Dentistry from the Hebrew University and Hadassah School of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem. Dr. Petel is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry of the Hadassah and Hebrew University School of Dental Medicine. Dr Petel has many years of experience in private practice and also holds a license in Clinical Hypnosis. Dr Petel is involved in dental research and has presented at international conferences. Dr Petel is a member of the Israel Society of Dentistry for Children, The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, The International Association of Pediatric Dentistry and the Israeli Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Dr. Petel was Secretary General of the Israel Society of Dentistry for Children for two consecutive terms. In July 2013, Dr. Petel was nominated as a member of the National High Council of Children’s Health and Pediatrics in the Israeli Ministry of Health. He is a Member of the IDA Scientific Council’s Professional Committee of Public Health and Member and Examiner of the Professional Committee of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Lurie-Har Zion has a DMD in Dental Medicine with a speciality in Pediatric Dentistry and an MSc in Dental Medicine from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Dr Lurie has been part of the DVI staff for the past six years and previously was a clinical lecturer at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Hebrew University – Hadassah School of Dental Medicine. In 2006, Dr Lurie was elected as a member of the Professional Council – Israeli Dental Association.
Professor (Emeritus) Eliezer Eidelman joined DVI as associate dental director in 2007, bringing with him many years of experience in pediatric dentistry. Prof. Eidelman received post-graduate specialty training in pediatric dentistry from the University of Alabama, Birmingham in 1965. Since then he has frequented many US university as a visiting professor, including the University of the Pacific, San Francisco in 1977-8 and UCSF in 1985. From 1980 – 2002, Prof. Eidelman was the chairman of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Hadassah School of Dental Medicine. Professor Eidelman has published more than 100 scientific articles.
Dr. Sarit Palmon received her DMD from the Hebrew University in 1989. She served at the academic reserve in Zahal and completed her specialization in Prosthodontics in 1998. Dr. Palmon was the dental director of Yad Sarah’s Geriatric Dental Clinic for 6 years. Currently, Dr. Palmon is working as a clinical instructor at Hadassah’s Prosthodontic Clinic. Dr. Palmon is the director of the free dentures program that DVI is now providing for Holocaust Survivors alongside needy elderly, regardless of race or religion.
