Dr Roy Petel, Director General

Dr. Petel holds a B.Med.Sc. in Medical Science and a D.M.D in Dental Medicine from Tel Aviv University with specialization in Pediatric Dentistry from the Hebrew University and Hadassah School of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem. Dr. Petel is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry of the Hadassah and Hebrew University School of Dental Medicine. Dr Petel has many years of experience in private practice and also holds a license in Clinical Hypnosis. Dr Petel is involved in dental research and has presented at international conferences. Dr Petel is a member of the Israel Society of Dentistry for Children, The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, The International Association of Pediatric Dentistry and the Israeli Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Dr. Petel was Secretary General of the Israel Society of Dentistry for Children for two consecutive terms. In July 2013, Dr. Petel was nominated as a member of the National High Council of Children’s Health and Pediatrics in the Israeli Ministry of Health. He is a Member of the IDA Scientific Council’s Professional Committee of Public Health and Member and Examiner of the Professional Committee of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Arthur Machin

Dr. Arthur Machin is a highly skilled prosthodontist dedicated to advancing dental care for elderly patients. Born in Uzbekistan, he immigrated to Israel in 2000. He earned his dental degree from Moscow University before completing an advanced general practice program and a four-year internship in prosthodontics at the Faculty of Dental Medicine at Hadassah Ein Kerem, Hebrew University. With over seven years of experience supervising dental students and conducting research, Dr. Machin is a certified board specialist in prosthodontics. He works in multiple clinics across Israel, focusing on restorative and rehabilitative dental treatments. In 2025, he joined DVI as the head of the dentures project for elderly patients, ensuring that those in need receive high-quality, life-changing dental care.

Dr. Alon Livny

Dr. Alon Livny is a distinguished specialist in public health dentistry with a deep commitment to providing accessible dental care to underserved populations. Practicing dentistry since 1996, he serves as a professor at the Faculty of Dental Medicine at Hadassah Ein Kerem, Hebrew University. His expertise spans general dentistry, with a particular focus on the elderly and individuals who lack access to essential dental treatment. Since 2023, Dr. Livny has led a key DVI initiative in collaboration with the Jerusalem Municipality, in which dental students treat patients at the clinic every Wednesday. Through his leadership, DVI continues to foster the next generation of dental professionals while expanding care for vulnerable communities in Jerusalem.
