DVI volunteer dentists truly care for our patients, who come from the diverse population of Jerusalem, thus DVI patients get the best quality treatment, from caring and kind professionals, on a level unsurpassed globally for free dental care. DVI prides itself in running on a shoe-string budget, thanks to volunteer dentists.

For over 30 years, DVI (Dental Volunteers for Israel) has given free dental treatment to thousands of Jerusalem’s children in need. Founded by Trudi Birger, it is the only clinic of its kind in Israel. It uses volunteer dentists to staff a state-of-the-art dental clinic and dental education program that serves 5-18 year olds from all Jerusalem’s ethnic groups, including religious and secular Jews, Ethiopians, Palestinians, and others. As the current Director says, “We look at it as a seed of the next generation creating peace.”
